Festival Objective

The iFrame Film Festival aims to explore the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and cinema. It provides an innovative platform for showcasing, competing, and engaging in dialogue around the intersection of technology and art. The festival welcomes films that are either created with the help of AI tools or conceptually engage with the subject.

Festival Sections

  • Competition Section: Includes short films, feature-length films, documentaries, experimental works, or animations that incorporate AI tools at any stage of production (concept, screenplay, visuals, sound, editing, etc.).
  • Out-of-Competition Section: Features special screenings, retrospectives, and research presentations related to the future of cinema and artificial intelligence.

Submission Requirements

  • Films may be in any language, but English subtitles (or Persian for non-Iranian works) are mandatory.
  • Each individual or group may submit up to three works.
  • The use of AI must be honestly and clearly indicated in the submission form.

Submission Procedure

  • All submissions must be made through the official online entry form on the festival website.
  • Accepted formats: MP4 / MOV with appropriate screening quality.

Jury & Awards

  • Films will be judged by a panel of experts in cinema, technology, and digital arts.
  • Evaluation criteria include: innovation, creativity, technical quality, meaningful application of AI, and artistic impact.
  • Awards include the iFrame Trophy, Certificates of Merit, and support for future projects of the selected filmmakers.

Intellectual Property & Screening Rights

  • The intellectual property rights of the films remain with their creators.
  • The festival reserves the right to screen selected works during the event.
  • Any additional media publication by the festival will be coordinated with the filmmakers.

Final Notes

  • The final decision on the selection of entries rests with the festival committee.
  • Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules.

By submitting this form, the producer hereby grants their formal consent and authorization for the inclusion and public screening of the submitted work in the iFrame Festival
